This photo was shot in ultra-resolution mosaic format. This is a unique form of photography where the image is shot in segments and then digitally combined on a grid. This allows for perfect architectural perspective and incredible resolution. It also allows two additional advantages: 1) The ability to choose a final perspective after the fact and 2) The ability to use crops from the final image as if they were individual full-resolution photos.

American Philosophical Society Front Hall
This head-on view is at the extreme of what looks "normal." This original image was a 300 MB file made of approximately 100 megapixels.

American Philosophical Society Front Hall
This is a more pleasing angled perspective, created from the above extreme shot. This is also a super-high-resolution file, approximately 16" x 25" at 300 ppi.

This crop from the original image can still be used like a regular high-res photograph - approximately 10" x 14" at 300 ppi.
